Note:  Our waiting list has been filled to make two additional teams for this summer's club lacrosse program.

Lacrosse Northwest has formed eight girls' high school club lacrosse teams this summer in the Portland metropolitan area to give rising high school players the opportunity to improve their skills in the off season.   In addition to playing on our club teams locally, players will have the option of traveling to a west coast tournament.

Our First Goal: To give high school girls who are current Junior Varsity or Varsity players the opportunity to receive instruction from qualified coaches while competing in local games with minimal travel.  These players are those who are striving to move to the next level of play, whether the level is a school Varsity program or Oregon Elite/Select team.

Our Second Goal: To give the girls who play on our club teams the opportunity to grow as competitive players where they will be recognized and recruited by our coaching staff to play on a Lacrosse Northwest Travel tournament team.

Details

  • Players who join our Summer league have the opportunity to tryout for one of our Summer travel teams.  (See LadyRippers travel team information page for more information).

  • Join one of our three locations to receive 2 1/2 hours of qualified instruction and competitive play per week for eight weeks. Pick a location that hosts your league, or, the location closer to your home.

  • Players should have a minimum of one year of competitive 7/8 or high school experience.

  • Each location includes two teams who will practice during the same time with their designated head coaches.

  • The last hour of each night will consist of one game against another club team.

  • Players will be at their home field location the majority of the eight weeks.  The other weeks, players will travel to one of the other Portland area locations where they will practice with their team and play against a different club team.

  • Lacrosse Northwest will provide certified officials, time keepers, and score keepers in addition to coaching staff for each competitive game.
