Girls' High School Club Plus Select
Lacrosse Northwest if forming four girls' high school club lacrosse teams this summer in the Portland metropolitan area to give rising high school players the opportunity to improve their skills in the off season. In addition to playing on our club teams locally, players will have the option of traveling to a west coast tournament.Our First Goal: To give high school girls who are current Junior Varsity or Varsity players the opportunity to receive instruction from qualified coaches while competing in local games with minimal travel. These players are those who are striving to move to the next level of play, whether the level is a school Varsity program or Oregon Elite/Select team.
Our Second Goal: To give the girls who play on our club teams the opportunity to grow as competitive players where they will be recognized and recruited by our coaching staff to play on a Lacrosse Northwest Travel tournament team.
Details
- Join one of our two locations to receive 2 1/2 hours of qualified instruction and competitive play per week for eight weeks.
- Players should have a minimum of one year of competitive 7/8 or high school experience.
- Each location includes two teams who will practice during the same time with their designated head coaches.
- The last hour of each night will consist of one game against another club team.
- Six out of the eight weeks, players will be at their home field location. The other two weeks, players will travel to the other Portland area location where they will practice with their team and play against a different club team.
- Lacrosse Northwest will provide certified officials, time keepers, and score keepers in addition to coaching staff for each competitive game.

Where: Hillsboro Stadium or Lincoln High School
Time Commitment: 2 1/2 hours per week (one evening) for eight weeks. Players must commit to a minimum of six of the eight weeks.
Cost: $200.00 for eight weeks ($50 family member discount. Goalies play for $100.00.
Contact our office regarding scholarship options. One scholarship per team will be awarded based on a first come first serve basis.
Reversible Jersey Cost: $15.00* (Players who have a Lacrosse Northwest reversible jersey from a prior league may continue using that jersey.)
Equipment: Players must provide their own equipment including stick, goggles, and mouthguard. Please, no cleats on the Hillsboro turf field. Players may wear cleats on the Lincoln Turf field. It is always recommended that players bring a water bottle.

METRO GIRLS' LACROSSE CLUB

LaxNW Girls' HS Club Select Travel Team
The LaxNW Girls' High School Club Select Team will be comprised of players from our four Summer '09 Club Teams. Our coaches will select players who have excelled over the course of the first three weeks of summer league, giving them a total of 7.5 hours to see each girl play.

Tournament Information
- 2nd Annual Cascade Cup Tournament in Snohomish, Washington.
- August 1st and 2nd (Potential to play Friday, July 31 so prepare to stay overnight Friday and Saturday).
- Teams at the tournament include Youth, Middle, School, and High School Players. Lacrosse Northwest is taking a girls high school and middle school team.
Cost per player is $250.00 and includes the following:
* Four practices Thursday evenings with travel club team at 2 hours per practice. These practices are in addition to the eight weeks of practice and competitive games June 22 - August 10.
* Tournament Fee
* Four full length games in pool play plus playoff rounds and crowning the champion at each division.
* LaxNW Club Select uniform and LaxNW T-Shirt
* All travel expenses paid including transportation and hotel (food excluded).
* Coaching staff's compensation.
* $25.00 Lacrosse Northwest processing fee.

Selection Process
- Girls who register for our club select travel team should e-mail Sarah Tomlinson at [email protected] if they are interested in traveling to the Cascade Cup 2009 as referenced above.
- Each week, our head coaches will make their own individual observations of the girls during practices and one hour competitive games. In addition to the head coaches, our assistant coaches will provide feedback.
- A list of the 20 players chosen for the LaxNW Summer 2009 Club Select travel team will be posted on our Website July 9, 2009. In addition, we will send an e-mail to all participants in our summer club program announcing our travel team.
- Lacrosse Northwest will also include an alternate list for those who are not on the original travel team list. These players will be able to travel with the team in the event an unforeseen circumstance arises and a club select member is unable to travel. Alternates are asked to practice with the team.

Girls' HS Club Round Robin Tournament
More FUN FUN FUN Lacrosse!
Lacrosse Northwest will host a "round robin" tournament Thursday, August 13 for our four high school girls' club teams at no additional cost. The tournament will begin at 6:00pm. Each team will play three 25 minute (running clock) games regulated by certified officials.
We expect this to be a fun evening for everyone. Players will have opportunities to receive awards and prizes.
