Girls' Goalie Coaches' Clinic - February 21, 2010
Led by President/Owner of Lacrosse Northwest, Sarah Tomlinson is taking your suggestions for helping local Oregon lacrosse coaches run successful practices with their goalies "in mind".Here are some questions to keep in mind while considering the girls lacrosse goalie coaches clinic:
Do you feel like it is challenging to run your field practice while keeping your goalie actively involved? If you had extra time as a coach during practice, do you know what drills to run with your goalies on an individual basis as well as with the team? Is it possible for your goalies to train effectively and independently without out your constant attention?
We have created a girls' lacrosse goalie coaches' clinic based on results from a survey Lacrosse Northwest sent to 120 Oregon Girls' youth and high school coaches and administrators. The following are the details of the clinic and what we heard you saying:
For Who: Oregon Girls' Youth - High School Lacrosse Coaches
Clinic Level: Beginning - Intermediate (Time will be left for more advanced questions)
What? Combination of "classroom discussion", demos, and hands on activities to teach coaches how to effectively work with their goalies during practices and games.
Maximum Enrollment: 20 Coaches
When: Sunday, March 14
Time: 10:00am - 12:00pm
Where: Lakeridge High School Turf Field/Track
Cost: $30 (Check with your program regarding reimbursement for the clinic)

Sarah has been playing in goal for 11 years, coaching Lakeridge Girls' High School Goalies for three seasons, as well as in her first season as a goalie coach with Pacific University's DIII women's lacrosse team.
