Civil War Game at Summit High School: Congratulations Dylan Cramer for winning a free 8 week Winter Indoor Session from our LaxNW raffle drawing during the exciting Ducks/Beavers Civil War game at Summit High School last weekend in Bend. LaxNW owner Sarah Tomlinson's 18 month old niece Ellie pulled Dylan's name from the box after the big game.Bigfoot Lacrosse represented well at the event as they not only displayed their lacrosse merchandise under the Bigfoot tent, but they brought Team Bigfoot to play in two games against the Ducks and Beavers prior to the showcased Civil War game. Players of Team Bigfoot included Bigfoot owner Jon Stevens; Lumberjax Staff Todd Jolly and Kyle Virding; MLL Star DJ Driscoll; and former Princeton All American and current Warrior Representative Lorne Smith.
The day started with a successful free boys youth/high school clinic led by the Oregon Coaches, DJ Driscoll, and Lorne Smith.
After the Ducks and Beavers "warm-up" games against the strong Bigfoot team, Oregon took the Beavers early on in the Civil War game and landed with a 19 to 6 victory over the Beavers. LaxNW's summer men's open player and current University of Oregon player Will DeSiervo was highlighted by the local news channel KOHD as "hitting nothing but net" in the fourth quarter.
The games were a thrill for both Ducks and Beavers fans as the stands were full and multiple news organizations covered the event.
