Cleveland Boys Lacrosse Coaching Positions available - September 14, 2010
Varsity Offensive CoordinatorCleveland High School Boys Lacrosse Program is in search of a Varsity Offensive Coordinator for the 2011 season. We are dedicated to building a winning program, fueled by a newly flourishing youth feeder program, unprecedented offseason camp and league participation, a supportive board and school administration, and quality facilities. The 2011 CHS squad returns 21 Varsity players from the 2010 team, and is poised to take it to the next level.
The ideal candidate will bring the following to our program:
• D1, D3 or MCLA playing experience
• Strong grounding in individual and team fundamentals
• Exemplify and communicate the fundamentals of consistency, hard work, and setting a good example
• Explain, teach, and implement the following: a consistent offensive philosophy, a variety of situational offensive formations, specific set plays, and in-game adjustments
• Be able to positively set achievable and measurable goals for each player, and each unit’s improvement
• A contagious passion for the sport!
Our Board of Directors manages all administrative needs, from fundraising to pregame setup, which lets the coaches focus solely on the players and the game. Practices are held at Cleveland High School, close-in at SE 31st and Powell, 5 nights a week starting in mid-February. OHSLA Playoffs end in early June. Coaches are expected to attend all practices and games.

Varsity Defensive Coordinator

• Explain, teach, and implement the following: individual and team defensive fundamentals, adjacent- and COMA-slide implementation, effective communication, man- and zone-defensive sets, unsettled situational strategy, clearing and transition
• Be able to positively set achievable and measurable goals for each player, and each unit’s improvement
• Goalie skills and background are a HUGE plus
• A contagious passion for the sport!

JV1 Head Coach and Varsity Assistant

We are dedicated to building a winning program, fueled by a newly flourishing youth feeder program, unprecedented offseason camp and league participation, a supportive board and school administration, and quality facilities.
The ideal candidate will bring the following to our program:
• D1, D3 or MCLA playing experience
• Strong grounding in individual and team fundamentals
• Exemplify and communicate the fundamentals of consistency, hard work, and setting a good example
• Explain, teach, and implement the following: individual stick skills, offensive and defensive fundamentals, transition and unsettled situational basics, fitness and conditioning
• Be able to positively set achievable and measurable goals for each player, and each unit’s improvement
• Goalie skills and background are a HUGE plus
• A contagious passion for the sport!
Our Board of Directors manages all administrative needs, from fundraising to pregame setup, which lets the coaches focus solely on the players and the game. We are dedicated to building a winning program, fueled by a newly flourishing youth feeder program, unprecedented offseason camp and league participation, a supportive board and school administration, and quality facilities. The 2011 CHS squad returns 21 Varsity players from the 2010 team, and is poised to take it to the next level.
The ideal candidate will bring the following to our program:

Full-time commitment is welcome; part-time candidates are required to commit to a consistent schedule of at least 2 practices/week.
